A comic annual publised by D.C.Thomson & Co. in Dundee who also produce the Beano and Dandy amongst others. These comics are from the scottish newspaper strips of the same name. They also make the Oo'r Wullie strips and annuals that I collect. See below.

The Beezer is not as old as the Beano or dandy but still had lots of interesting characters like Colonel Blink, Pop, Dick & Harry and the Numbskulls. Sadly not printed anymore and some characters went over to other comics like the Beano and the Dandy. Below is a beezer cover from the 1958.

This is the Dennis the Menace and Gnasher tin pencil case I found at a boot sale for 50p. Some Beano related merchadise behind including a folder for school files.

Dennis the Menace, Gnasher and other characters made of plastic given away with McDonalds happy meals a few years ago. I have the whole set, mostly found at boot sales for a few pence.

Topper Book Dad found at car boot sale today for 20p. Its in very good condition for it's age (1960) and worth alot more. This was the first of the portrait size books after they changed from the "wide" format.

The Topper front cover from 1956 annual. This unusual wide shape changed a couple of years later when they started printing them the "normal" tall shape which is a shame as I like them like this. What do you think?

Desperate dan eating a cow pie, his favourite meal. You can tell it's a cow pie by the cow's horns sticking out of the pie crust. I'm a vegetarian so I couldnt eat a whole cow or even part of one!

A great Dandy cover from 1959 featuring Korky the cat who was on the cover for many years before being religated to the inside pages. Now he's not in it atall! I think they should bring Korky back!

Recently Beano and the Dandy has lost most of the old characters, the new artists are taking over the old ones. I hate the new beryl the peril and ollie Fliptrik and bad max ok ok, I hate all the new ones.
